Did anyone get around to answering what they were?

I was really tempted to register and post then, just to ask what they were.

If I remember correctly that was some kind of nuclear artillery?

The smoke trails are from a series of rockets launched just before the blast. They where used to help measure the explosions shockwave from the blast by charting there movement.
