Captain Wain Cre looked at his Victory Class Star Destroyer 'Last Hope'. It had recently undergone a massive refit by Admiral Pellaeon's orders after the fighting with the Vong. It had recieved newer gravitic engines, a smaller and more powerful reactor, a new bridge tower with the latest in tactical software advances, the weapons had been replaced with more powerful versions making them eqaul in firepower to Imperial Class Mk 2s. The Hanger was refited to carry 36 of the new Skipray Blastboats and 12 Sentinel Landing Craft. The Concussion Missile count was increased to 4,000. The armor was stealth coated and worked in conjuction with a cloaking device. This ship was meant to be a pure Battlecruiser to take on a Mon Calamari Battlecruiser and win. This meant the ship couldn't carry troops and was reduced to Spec Ops raiding, but worth it. "I can't wait to to see the Mon Calamari's shock to find themselves out classed."
"Mon Calamari is not your objective Captain as that is mine." Admiral Pellaeon said behind Captain Wain.

"You will have a far more interesting job investigating this phenomeon with two Escort Carriers filled with 200 TIE Defenders each and a Mini World Devestator the size of your ship. Your mission is to investigate where the Phenomeon goes to and claim whatever resources that you can get away with. Because of the size of the Wormhole your ship is the biggest we can squeeze through along with World Devastator."

Interesting prologue. I'm assuming the Empire has stabilized the wormhole somehow, like the one in Michael Wong's 'Conquest'. Are you changing the outcome of the Human-Minbari War to set up an AU fic?
By the way, will the Imperials be competent, or not? Will they ally themselves with the humans of B5, or with the Minbari? How will the Shadows and the Vorlon react to the Imperials' appearance?

Know Thy Enemy and Ally
"Captain, we will be exiting hyperspace in 5,4,3,2,1."
The swirling vortex of Hyperspace gave way to normal space as the Last Hope exited that plane. "Helm steer us through the wormhole. Comms, have the Escort Carriers, Salvager and Impudence, form behind us with the Devastator, Reckless, trailing. Sensors, full spectrum beaming with active sensors, we are going to do this boldly. Nav, keep constant nav checks." The fleet formed up and entered in a red realm.

A lone Starfury was embraced in a deadly duel with a Minbari Nial. The Psycore Spec Op pilot had already left the Nial's 7 other wingmen dead and scattered across hyperspace. Hyperspace had enhanced his abilities 30 fold as he scouted for the Minbari Fleet. Still the sudden arrival of several large ships shocked him as he lined the Nial for the kill shot. Two red bolts nearly clipped him as his mind alerted him to the targeting. The Nial wasn't so lucky as it was hit and tractored towards the wedge shaped ship. "This is Lieutenant Rick Calsh, unkno" The Ion Beam from Skipray 7 clipped him.

"We ran the DNA twice Captain and came up with the same result sir. The Lieutenant is indeed human. We also found him to have a very high Midichlorian count of 300,000 and his gene structure shows he had no father."
"What!!!"
"Hey, I'm just a doctor. You want answers, talk to him yourself."
"I ought to."
"Do nothing, I outrank you Skipper, though I'm not a line officer. This Med Bay is my domain." Vice Admiral Lily Camach replied before turning her attention to one of the female crewmembers who had come in for an appointment.

Lieutenant Rick was floating the miniscule objects in the room around as he awaited his captors. Letting his mind wander he picked up all the emotions and thought of the human crew and tried to figure out where they came from. As delved deeper and found the truth, he pulled back in shock. Captain Wain came in at that moment. "Impossible, Humanity started on Earth."
"I don't know about that as Humanity has been found to have started on Coruscant in our Galaxy. This raises many interesting questions as we have studied all our plot and we are in the right dimension at the right time. That, however, is moot. From what we have been able to gather is that you are locked in a war of annhilation and we can help. You are free to go." Wain held out his hand.
Sensing no deceit, Rick took it. "Alpha Centauri is the Minbari's next target. Their stealth systems make it a bitch to target them even though we have the firepower to crack their hulls."
"Leave that to me. We can network your targeting sensors into our computers. Their stealth technology is extremely primitive to ours."
"Then you can help us."
"Please, we are going to conquer the Minbari..."

First to Fight.......
'Connvicing was easy. Even for us. Who knew their George Lucas accurately predict all the events in our home Galaxy. A General Lefcourt was all, but begging for Turolasers, Ion Cannons, Tractor Beams, Sheilds, Sensors, and TIE Defenders. He even promised Mineral rights which I was searching for anyway. So I made a deal. Alot of our Technology was patented, but I could lease it, which can be very long. The TIEs however I could not deliver as their president stepped in and slaped down plans for a Thunderbolt, which look alot like a X-wing but with the engines on the wings and guns in the nose. In the 5 days here, I have rebuilt most of their ships and even sent the Nova design through for consideration as a pocket ship mounting heavy fire, but few troop and fighters for Outer Rim Duties. As..'
"Captain Cre, we picked up Minbari Signals. They are coming."

Massing with the Empire's Fighters, the new Thunderbolts raced towads where the Minbari were expected to merge. 2 AUs from Alpha Centauri, the Minbari Morshin Class Carriers came out and deployed their Nials on the left of the Fleet.
"I'm reading, Jesus Christ, 15,000 Nials deploying. We have only 800 of us."
"Cut the Chatter and prepare for concussion barrage!"
"Target locks confirmed, we see them! Now lets give them a taste of their own medicine."
The Minbari Nials knew something was wrong from the start. Their targeting computers were out and their threat lights were on. For half of them, they died in the Concussion Missile barrage.
"Whoa, its a fucking orgasm. Take that you Bonehead sons of bitches."
"Prepare to engage. Break."
The Thunderbolts broke in to Finger Four formation along with the Tie Defenders. The Imperial weapon system allowed them to engage three targets at once and the Minbari pilots found to their horror that their weapons made no impact when they hit the sheilds of the Ties to no avail. Despite that, the Thunderbolts truly slaugthered the Minbari by opening Jumps Gates inside the Minbari's formations.
"Take note of that Jump Ability and send it to Admiral Paelleon. Next have the Skiprays and Sentinels execute that tactic on those Morshins, I believe they are called." Captain Cre said as he watched the fight end quickly.
"Sir, gates opening in front of us. 800 Minbari classified as Sharlin Warcruisers, bearing 123, 57, 890 in sector 3, grid 7." Sensors called.
"Alright, preplan 7 Execute in flak mode."
100 Turbolaser bolts lanced out and exploded. The combined force was equivalent to 1 Terraton of TNT and destroyed 600 Sharlins.
"Call from Lefcourt, he says to leave some for him."
"Tell him to have fun."
That was exactly what happened forthwith.

It's strange that the Imperials would LEASE patents, but as they don't have the resources to conquer the Minbari by themselves, I guess it makes sense to raise some money.
Is Imperial sensor technology powerful enough to overcome the Minbari stealth systems? That battle was surprisingly short.
By the way, I haven't seen that many episodes of 'Babylone 5'. What are Thunderbolts? From your description, it sounds like a variant of the Star Fury fighter.

Imperial sensors are designed to detect far more advanced stealth systems. The Minbari stealth would be a dead give away to Imperial sensors. Plus with upgraded Imperial sensors Earth Force can use the Minbari's own tactics against them. The World Devastator can upgrade ships completely in minutes.
