New case suggestions needed
I need a good deep mid-tower case that cools well. Anyone have any suggestions? I want plenty of room on the inside and a stylin' exterior.

Have you had a look at the Thermaltake Soprano SECC? The styling is either love or hate but I was quite impressed by the layout of their Xaser III and if this case is up to a similar spec it'll be a good 'un

It's expensive, but I recommend the Lian Li V1000:
The beauty of this case is that it takes advantage of a lot of the improved placements of the BTX standard, but it uses standard ATX motherboards and power supplies. It runs cool, looks cool and has plenty of room for just about anything.
And here's and internal shot so that you can see how much room is afforded by the improved ATX design.

I haven't a clue what my case is, but its a nice one. I have 5 fans in it. One front intake, one side intake. Side intake blows nicely on the motherboard. I have one top out take fan and two back out take fans. The case itself has plenty of room for doing work, though the video card is somewhat bulky in there.

I'd go with an Antec P160 or P180. They come without power supplies, so you can chose a good one, and they are designed to be very quiet (the p180 being a bit overboard with composite sound dampening materials and all that). They're pretty expensive (120-200) sans power supply, but worth it in my opinion =)

Well, money really isn't a concern at the moment *ducks thrown object* so I'll see about getting one of those with a nice big PSU...but it doesn't look like I need it just yet after all.

Nothing that drastic, my friend. I don't need my PCI Slots to glow in the dark!phongn wrote:Well, if money is no object you can always go for a custom job from mnpctech Bill also has a very nice premodified LX6A19 which combines good cooling with low noise.
