For those who aren't aware of what Xfire is, it's basically a free instant messenger program with a special emphasis on gaming. A few features include the ability to log the amount of time spent on each particular game and viewing where and what your friends/friends of friends are playing. It's very convenient for spontaneous games with your friends without the hassle of having to pre-arrange a time...
So, does anybody else have Xfire? I have the same handle on Xfire as I do here and am looking to expand my short buddy list...

Is there any real advantage to it beyond what Trillian or any other IM client can accomplish?

It works in-game - you can receiving and sending messages without alt-tabbing. It's also a lot more convenient, as you can just Right click/Join Game - there's no hassle of scrolling down an entire list of servers (Admit it, BF2's interface is crappy) or looking up IPs. Not to mention you get extended networks of friends of friends.Brother-Captain Gaius wrote:Is there any real advantage to it beyond what Trillian or any other IM client can accomplish?
