Anyone interested in organized gaming in January?
A local ring of gaming forums to which I belong is going to host a bunch of online games in January in the spirit of Winter-Een-Mas. We've tentatively dubbed this event "Tour de Force."
Just one problem- a collective 50 people is not enough for what we have in mind.
So I'm posing a question to you, SDN denizens. Would you guys be interested in an organized gaming league in January? You'd be allowed to operate under the SDN banner.
Right now I know we'll be playing:
Pokemon Netbattle
Words That Follow
Halo 2
Counter-Strike
EDIT: These won't be the only games we'll be playing, in fact you'll be able to host games once we have a website set up, but that's just the list as it stands.
I just need to know how many people we're talking about so work can begin on server setup and coding over thanksgiving.

The only damn game I can play online here at college is NWN.
Otherwise I'd be up for some BF2. Maybe if winter break is long enough...

I'd be up for some Halo 2, depending on the scheduling of course.

If Nintendo actually has the wi-fi working by then, then probably.Mario Kart DS (November) and Metroid Prime Hunters (January?)...
Yes, we'll be playing online. You'll also be able to host your own games which we'll be more than glad to list on our schedule. Are we talking online here? There are bunches of games I'd like to play (and some that I already do) with the good folks here at SDN. I've always envisioned playing a game of, say, C&C Renegade with people who work togather, of course I doubt anyone has renegade
Also, I know at least one person on our end has Renegade, so don't give up hope quite yet.
Anyone play Specialists?
