Xvid encoder settings

Post by Stark »

Since I've seen a lot of 700Mb-ish movies encoded with xivd, I was wondering if anyone knew how to configure the encoder to get such a level of quality and compression. I've messed about with it, but if it ends up being less than a gig it's always ass for quality. It's a bit hard to edit avis when I can't process them without losing all the quality and doubling the filesize. Poking around on google didn't turn up any big flashing hints, so I'm asking the professionals! :)

If you're encoding DVD's use AutoGK. If you're encoding videos that are already highly compressed you're not gonna have much luck.
