Baby Jaundice

Post by PainRack »

I have to do a project about neonatal jaundice and so far, the research coming along quite nicely...... except for one thing

What did you feel that you need to know or do, when your baby gets jaundice? As in, what was it that you most immediately wanted the doctor to tell you, any fears you might have had, any special precautions you felt that was neccesary like changes to your diet(apparently, the Indians believe that eating tumeric during pregnancy causes the baby to turn yellow) and whether you felt that you were responsible.....

Stuff like that... There're some blogs out there that are quite informative, but this obviously isn't something that many people will exclaim about.

I remember hearing about that in prenatal class, but that was so many years ago that I forgot what they said. Of course, Rebecca and I were pretty well-informed at the time: two university graduates who took pre-natal classes and bought books etc. Probably much more well-informed than the average new parent.
