Crossover Idea: Quantum Leap and SG-1

Ok, so my idea involves Sam Beckett leaping into Daniel Jackson at some as-yet indetermined time in the series. I'd like to twist it, with his appearance reverting to "normal" upon travelling through the stargate, and the ensuing chaos. Does anybody think this could be a good idea?
I had a Bill Maher quote here. But fuck him for his white privelegy "joke".

Sure it sounds cool (I miss Quantum Leap), but don't forget your sacrifices to Yog-Sogoth before you do it.
