Boot Failure:System halted

Just got a new harddrive for another pc, installed it as a slave and now when I boot up it up it says boot failure: system halted. Could this be a hd failure? I changed PSU on the machine before installing the new hd and I know that there's no problem with that. The hd is a Maxtor 250gb like my other one.

Thus far, the slave is detected in bios by itself, the master boots up normally by itself, but when both are plugged in the bios can't detect the master and the slave is seen as gibberish.

Solved the problem, hd jumper was misplaced.
