Planning a 'Star Wars' "What if...?"

Post by Sidewinder »

I'm thinking about writing a 'Star Wars' fanfic after I finish 'Alien Vs Predator Vs Transformers Vs GI Joe'. My current ideas are based on the following "What if...?" scenarios:

1) What if Dooku killed Palpatine?

Dooku kills Palpatine aboard the Invisible Hand as Anakin arrives, to anger him and make Anakin fall to the Dark Side. Dooku offers to train Anakin as his Sith apprentice, but Anakin kills Dooku instead. After the CIS fleet is defeated, Anakin learns that Palpatine's will names him as heir to trillions of credits; the wealth doesn't affect him, but the suspicion this arouses in the Jedi Council does. Anakin angrily leaves the Jedi Order, joins Padme on Naboo, and tries to live in peace when two Jedi arrive to take away Luke and Leia; when Sly Moore and Mas Amedda learn of the fight between Anakin and the Jedi, they convince him to run for public office, thinking Anakin can restore to them the wealth and influence they enjoyed under Palpatine.

2) What if Luke Skywalker joined the Imperial Navy?

The Rebel assault on the Death Star fails because Solid Snake, a TIE pilot under Vader's command, defended the Sith Lord as he destroyed the attacking X-wings. When Vader meets Solid Snake after the battle, he senses that Solid Snake isn't the pilot's real name, and demands it. Solid Snake admits his real name is Luke Skywalker, and that he ran away from his uncle's home to join the Imperial Naval Academy. Vader conceals his shock that his son is alive, and offers to train Luke as his Sith apprentice.

Which story should I write?
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

I vote number one, because I miss Darth Fanboy and his un-finished ROTS alternate ending.

And because I'm working on a fic that is fairly close to #2 already.

So far, I have 3 votes for the 'Revenge of the Sith' "What if...?", and six votes for the 'A New Hope' "What if...?" I guess people would rather see Anakin as a cyborg.

Another idea I have is a 'Star Trek/Star Wars/Transformers' crossover inspired by this fic. The Galactic Empire invades the UFP, blowing up Galaxy class starship on their way to Earth. Robert Scott Anderson, captain of the Galaxy class starship, tries to teleport away before he goes down with the ship, and is summoned by Unicron. The Dark God of Destruction offers him the power to take revenge; Capt Anderson accepts, and is transformed into Darkstar, Unicron's herald. Now Vader must team up with-- I don't know, maybe Optimus Prime-- to defeat a killer robot that transforms into a Galaxy class starship with a super phaser that can blow away Imperial star destroyers like leaves in the wind.
