As pointed out by a constituent, in this thread a member made a vague threat to the tone of;

A quick glance through the rules doesn't really cover anything other than a small simularity to AR 4, though as a long term member, I remember the ATJ and simular groups and the fiascos they made, which kind of had an unwritten rule about not leading trolls back here to polute our humble home.

Are such statments a 'clear and present danger' or is this example vague enough to just be chest beating? Does SDnet neet an anti invasion rule? What is the current Admin policy on such issues?

Depends. Is he talking about asking them for information, or is he asking them to join up and join the debate? If so, how many?

I'm not sure its a clear-cut case of "invasion", and if its chest beating, its rather pathetic.

That's not a threat of invasion. He says he's asking help from others, but doesn't say what kind of help he's talking about. If it's of the troll invasion type, it's going to be ruthlessly crushed. If it's just people helping him or perhaps a few people joining in and discussing the topic, no problem. It doesn't even qualify as chest beating in my opinion. Not yet anyway. Let's not be too quick on the trigger.

That said I honestly wouldn't take this seriously though banning ssut for the hell of it just seems like the sort of delicious abuse of power we were not elected to do

The chances of him pulling one off are pretty slim. His friends would need to get fired up enough to actually want to go through the registration process and then engage in a debate which would be on topic for the thread anyway, or he'd need to convince them that the humor value would be worth it before they all got banned.

If I was to hazard I guess I'm thinking this guy is probably mid to late teens, and a member of a doom related board somewhere and is trying to defend his subject matter.

Annoying dick waver, yes. Potential threat, I doubt it.
