Well, I'm in my hotel using my laptop. Tomorrow morning is Nintendo's conference. Just wanted to say Hi before I go.

Watch Nintendoplayers.com for live updates (no streaming video, sorry) and my impressions and photos, and I'll definitely post what I see in this thread :D

I like the music that's playing on the GS feed.

Nintendo is certainly coming with it this year, aren't they?

I noticed that they didn't present a Smash Brothers game, as promised last year...

On the other hand, I also noticed Ouendan. I never thought that game would be translated. But count me out if they're using Western songs for that.

Argh, what happened?! I can't see it anymore!

Oh well. Was it just me who thought that Iwata said "Weewee-mote", instead of "Wii remote"? That's the best name ever. I'm gonna call the controller "weewee-mote" from now on

New Zelda looks cool of course. I'm a little annoyed that they used some of the sounds from the Wind Waker though. Never really liked them... Other than that: Wheeeeeee 8)

Don't you mean "Wiiiii"? ;)

Overall, I'd say that I'm a bit disappointed by this. A number of game titles I had expected them to announce never showed, and while there will still be a large number of great games at or near launch (Fire Emblem, YES!), I was really hoping for Smash Brothers, or Kid Icarus, or possibily even Famicom Detective Club.

EDIT: Just realised, there's no true sword swinging in Twilight Princess with the Wiimote. You've got a shield rush and a parry mapped to it, and a spin with the secondary attachment, but no direct control of the sword's movements like Red Steel does.

That was amazing. I ended up sitting in Yoshi's Island (the upstairs section), second to front row up on the balcony.

The especially amazing part was how they got that guy who had never played with the controller before and he just owned Reggie on stage there :)

I can't wait to play the controller.

Not to mention the speaker and web browser sound cool.

I'm still in shock though. 27 Wii titles playable tomorrow. I'll play every one.

That was fun. I was updating my site a Windows XP PC here in the Media Lounge, and bam, blue screen of death. Furthermore, the BSOD locked up and stopped dumping the memory and didn't restart. Complete random, after I worked on it for an hour.

I learned my lesson and am using an iMac G5 now :) No Linux PCs around sadly.

Wow, what a day.

Anyone watch G4's E3 06Live Coverage today? If so, you saw me (without noticing probably) about twenty times during it. I showed up during the last hour and a half and shifted around a couple times during the show, but I clearly saw myself on the live TV's and my mother tuned in and watched me on TV standing in the background.

I was standing behind the models with computer heads. Pretty cool to be standing behind Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb. Adam nearly ran me over on his way to the bathroom during a commercial break. Got a lot of pictures and even a brief recording of the filming.

Thanks, Praxis, for posting those two videos on Nintendo Players. Those have been the only E3 videos so far that I've been able to watch...

Heck, I was within two feet of Sessler. I came this close to being trampled. Don't get in his way when he has to go to the bathroom during a commercial! I got a shaky-cam video and some pics too.

As for the show, looks awesome, I could see the PS3 booth through a window, but unfortunately while we can enter the building the show floor is still closed off.

They're opening it up to the press (me) tomorrow morning at 9:00, then to the other attendees at 11:00.

I'm going to see if I can shake Adam or Morgan's hand when they finish the show at 6 tomorrow (look for me about 5:30 on the Live coverage), if I don't, they'll be signing autographs at 11:00 Thursday and I'll go then.

I'll be playing with the Wii controller at about 9:15 AM tomorrow. :D

Quick pic before I go sleep:

The camera recording is actually quite well, you can even make out some of the dialogue, but my FTP server is acting up, I'll post it tomorrow. It's pretty cool because they're broadcasting live while standing next to a TV showing them live (offscreen for the people watching on TV).

Oh yeah, that's not a spinal deformity, everyone had a big transmitter stuffed in to their back that was hooked up to the microphone they were wearing.

You lucky bastard! :P

My god. Is that a Windows XP Startup Screen that Morgan is looking at?
