"Talifan!" The Special Edition

Post by Lord Poe »

Well people, it was long hard fight, but I had to cave in. I removed "Talifan!" from YouTube, and re-edited it so it wouldn't be so offensive. I bleeped out the "C" word, and just made the video more appealing, overall.

Please try to enjoy this toothless, less violent version.

"Talifan!" The Special Edition

(BTW, this isn't the "Talifan!" sequel I'm currently working on.)

Overall I would say it's a definate improvement - the compression quality seems a lot better and it generally flows nicer. And the fight scene is awesome! :D

I can't wait for the next video. Care to give us any clues as to what it'll be like? :)

Her voice sounds incredibly sinister. Like she's planning on killing you and making curtains out of your skin.

:P This version has three times the violence of the old one!

It'll be about a squad of Mandabonian Clone Soldiers making a discovery in a battle-bot factory....

Most awesome, Mr Poe. I salute you.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

It's a definite improvement over the old one. Awesome fight scene, though my favourite part was the dictionary at the end.

I'll probably look stupid but what are the Mandabonians shooting at in the beginning of the fight? They're kinda jerking around and shooting everywhere.

I guess they don't allow .wmv files anymore. That sucks.

Thanks! I decided the "Talifan" should live up to his name!
Einhander Sn0m4n wrote:Three times the violence, ten times the fun! GG Mr. Poe!
Yup! And I wasactually holding back on the violence!

And again, you'll notice that no violence is geared toward Sharon Crevice! A Fandabonian doesn't even hit her this time!
CaptainChewbacca wrote:God help me, the part with the Vulcan Neck Pinch was hilarious.
I loved it when I saw it in the game. I had to include it!

Its complete gibberish. (Much like Mando'a.) I even ran it backward when Sharon Crevice first speaks!

That was quite satisfying...!
JediMaster415 wrote:I'll probably look stupid but what are the Mandabonians shooting at in the beginning of the fight? They're kinda jerking around and shooting everywhere.
They're crazy firing. These are Fandabonians, not real Mandabonians. Although, we don't know how they got ahold of real laser rifles!

For some reason, "comments" aren't working, but I do get them. So far, the only negative comment has been from this guy Click the link if you want to watch his mad karaoke skillz. His blog is a click away as well.
Asshat 27 wrote:Can you make sure the original is available so we can still link to it please? Maybe post a link to it somewhere int he body of the text?

I just want to make sure people can see your threats for themselves rather than your "edit"
My response:

Exactly what threats were those, asswipe? The audio is unchanged, and nothing was cut. There's a lot of added scenes, and "cunt" was bleeped. So again, what THREATS are you referring to?

Try watching videos yourself instead of believing what other assholes tell you.

How exactly did that video violate the TOS?

Fucking bullshit. I've seen FAR worse videos in terms of cursing and violence, not to mention entire episodes of TV shows. If it was in fact removed because Traviss bitched and threatened to sue, then I have to wonder why anyone is even afraid of her? Can Dubya sue SNL and everyone else who parodies him?
"They're not triangular, but they are more or less blade-shaped"- Thrawn McEwok on the shape of Bakura destroyers

"Lovely. It's known as impugning character regarding statement of professional qualifications' in the legal world"- Karen Traviss, crying libel because I said that no soldier she interviewed would claim that he can take on billion-to-one odds

"I've already laid out rules for this thread that we're not going to make these evidential demands"- Dark Moose on supporting your claims

Article 5 Section C Part III
submit material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate
They must have whined hard enough to them. It's too bad the staff probably didn't take a look at the video itself before making this decision. Do we have to from now on have to put in the title "Satire: Talifan"? :x
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
