Which to purchase?

Post by Lord Zentei »

Ì haven't purchased any new games to speak of in a hell of a long time, partly due to being sitingy, partly because I haven't got the spare time. But recently I saw some sorta-newish shoot 'em ups at a discount price. Only I don't know which one to buy.

The contenders:
  • Doom 3
  • Quake 4
  • Unreal Tournament
What say ye? Note that I suck at head to head matches, so I'll mostly be using these as single player games. Mostly.

I'd go with Unreal Tournament 2004, it isn't the newest of the bunch (that'd be Quake 4), but I think you'll get the most hours of fun out of it. Loads of content, not sure if I can say the same about Quake 4 or Doom 3.

Seconded, base UT2K4 can give you hundreds of hours of fun, adding just a few mods or mutators can easily double or triple the number.
