Let's count the ways
!st turn mountain, orcish lumberjacks
second turn forest, tap lands for mana, use 'jack on forest, play shivan wurm.
Turn 1 llanowar elf, turn two play another land, priest of titania, then instill energy on priest.
Turn 1 mana vault. Turn two 5 mana.
Ad nauseum.
Jesus... I remember when it took TIME to build up to the larger creatures, when you could smirk evilly at your opponent and tell them "it's coming... one more mana..." and have them fearing what madness would be in your hand. Then you play that Craw Wyrm, or Shivan Dragon, or Force Of Nature, and watch it trample all over your opponent's attempts to block. (Or whimper as they counterspell the damn thing ;) )
When was this mythical time of taking time to play larger creatures? Seriously some of you old timers must be going senile.

Honestly, I like slow games(we had 2 1/2 hour long game today) but sometimes, if you have the ability to kill fairly soon, do it. Casual play is fun tho, I hate jerk's who bring tourny decks into casual(we have one of those here.), I do things in game just to piss him off ie: if he asks me to cut his deck, something I hate doing I will cut his deck 7 ways then randomly shuffle parts back in then recut. He stopped asking me to cut.

Legacy covers all cards, from the first core set to the most recent sets... although there is a fairly sizeable banned list.

Well... they're still working the kinks outta Draft Tourneys. I've yet to go in and find a game in that part.

Casual play works very well, with Single-game, Match, or Multi-player options. I've been doing quite well in it. The chat function works well, but it's in very small text.

I was given a total of 19 different starter packs, a mix of 9th Ed and Ravenia, both starter packs, constructed decks, and booster packs. Total haul was over 1000 cards to play with... and boy are there some GREAT cards in this! I've gotten 4 copies of several rares, and 4-8 copies of uncommons and commons. So there's a LOT of things you can do with these cards.

I'm finding "Overworld Dreams" (?) is a nasty card, especially paired with a Howling Mine.

It's underworld dreams, originally from legends. Come on LadyTevar, what happened to being an old school player? That was a 1994 combo.

That doesn't mean I remember every last card LOL! It's been 13 years, and different card-art.
