Believe it or not, I think that for the most part the members of SD.net would make good dictators, compared to what we've got today. At the very least, they would help unify the government, as opposed to having different governments and groups with no real ideological problems fight against each other. We would certainly value human rights (improving the lives of vast numbers of people) like freedoms of speech. While the freedom of religion might be OFFICIALLY abolished, I don't see any way we could possibly enforce such a mandate, and I think that muhc of the world's economy would be improved by our rational applications of ideas.

Now, life in developed countries would probably get a little bit worse, but for the majority of people living in developing nations I think that life would improve. - MoO

Isn't that what dictators say to justify themselves? Look at Mugabe. He forcibly kicked out the white farmers and redistributed their land in the interests of righting historical wrongs.
