I know how you feel. When I dont have a Coke by noon Im really pissy.
Everyone at work knows I have a Coke first thing in the morning instead of coffee. But I have to get mine from the Lunch Truck, because our CEO thinks Coke machines dont belong in a company.

Speaking of vending machines. Why is it the ones in the U.S. have such difficulty "reading" the few types of coins we use and why can't more of them take either of the $ coins?

I've been to places like Hong Kong and Australlia where there were a wider variety of coin types and the machines didn't have problems with those.

I've seen machines correctly take coins that are multi-sided with no problem but we're still stuck with the crap machines that either eat paper bills, won't or don't take them and then they get all finiky about the coins they will take.

Beowulf, it was a joke. Didn't you see the little wink beside it? I'm from the south. we call it Coke down here. You don't hear Pop or Soda. You say Soda and that's what goes with Scotch. Pop... that's your dad or grandfather or what you do when you hit someone.

Must be a Southern thing. I've always called everything a Coke or maybe a "cold drink." "Pop," just sounds weird to me -- I called my grandfather, "Pop."

I knew that you were joking.
Plus, it's a chance to pad my post count.

Coca-Cola dominates so much in the South (especially in Georgia) that most people call soda/pop/soft-drinks Coke here.

I don't particularly care - I'll drink Pepsi though I prefer Coke.

You think normal Pepsi is bad? Ever tried "Pepsi Blue"? If you haven't, my advice is don't.
