Clever.

But Canada still has more water than you. And trees. AND ROCKS!

BEAT THAT! :D
RN - INFLEXIBLE and support ships arrive off canada.

Admiral Sir Stratford Tarkin-Wilson "Now, which province shall we nuke first?" :D
How about Saskatchewan?

Where the fuck is that?

Beside Alberta.

No way, you can't nuke them, it might damage our beef stocks.

Chretien is supposedly there.

Oh, thats okay then. Nuke the little shits. :)

Durran Korr wrote: How effective of a colonial manager was Richelieu, though? While Britain was off establishing permanent colonies whose markets would generate massive amounts of wealth for itself, he was still having French settlers trapping fur and moving around nomadically.
He spent most of his time in europe, trying to keep the laughable french system working. Louis XIV did also, but come Louis XV, it blew up in their faces. The british only had the time and effort to do such things because courtesy of the English Revoloution, they weren't spending their time trying to keep the rusting wheels of absoloute monarchy from flying off the axels.

And not necceserily him, but he was the first person to come to mind (other than myself of course, and modesty prevents me blowing my own trumpet that much)

I consider the American War of Independance the dawn of the fall of the British Empire. Soon after the troubles in Ireland started, which are still continuing today, India got the notion to self govern as did many other countries in the Empire. Today the Empire is all but gone. Australia will soon be leaving the commonwealth and the UK is falling apart. Our asshole of a PM has brought about "Devolution" and pretty soon will sell each and every british soul to a United States of Europe then we'll be forced to speak french and kill our cattle just to appease some fucktard frogs with too much to say for themselves.

La mierde. Vous etes discovrir notre plan!

Don't be silly, Pounder. France has no more power than the UK or Germany, and the "official" European language is obviously english.

That'll not stop them. As it is the French break EU regs at will while us brits are forced to pay heavy penalties for the slightest infringement. Some day i'd welcome a USE, but only when Chirac is dead and the French are put in their place.

When did that exactly happen?

Oh, yes, let us all fear the mighty french.

They can do nothing against the majority wishes, except bitch and whine. Germany is more than enough to keep them at bay, like many others. However, if the UK voluntarily keeps itself out of the decision making zones, like the Central Bank policies, then it has no valid motives to complain. The UK loses badly by being outside the Euro, you like it or not.

Well even after the EU declared british beef safe they where blocking our exports ot it into mainland Europe. They also facilitate the illegal immigration of hundreds to assylum seekers.

Sure i can bitch and while against the majorities wishes. In the Uk the majorities wish is to tell the EU to stick it up their ass yet Blair is still determined to force us in that route, going so far as to deny us a reforendum on it he knows he'd lose.

Ah ditch that EU idea. Join with us in the United States of the Atlantic. :D

I could live with being part of the 51st state. Better than being absorbed like a borg into the leftist european collective

Yes, it's far better to lose any pretence of sovereignty by joining the religious right winger US. After all, it is a known fact that each american state is allowed to have its own currency, language, army and the hability to seceed when it chooses too

Oh, Euros are eeeevil, but US Dollars would be just fine for you.

Why is it preferabble to join the EU instead of the US for the UK? Think of all the benefits, are advanced gun culture, our go for the throat capitalist mentality (Unless of course you're looking for some corporate welfare) our LOUD culture. Besides, quite frankly we need some ancient history, we have no real castles and Stonehenge, we could use that. What do you say?

I think you spelled 'disadvantages' wrong. :p

You're forgetting that the EU stands to become the largest superpower in the next century, and that it has member states that cant stand each other, which is always good for shits and giggles.

Actually every American state does have the right to its own separate armed forces and there are no limits on their weaponry or size that I'm aware of. However today most exist only on paper, earlier in this century that was not the case.

If they wanted to, states might well be able to start their own banks and issue currency or declare that they'd use a different language (as there's no federal statues on that, IIRC). As for seccession, only Texas (AFAIK) can legally do that.
